Three Signs You Should Replace Your Commercial Roofing

Like anything else, the roof that sits on top of your commercial building wasn’t designed to last forever. If you feel like your commercial roofing has reached the end of its useable lifespan but you’re not entirely sure, there are several signs to watch out for that indicate a replacement job could be in your future.

At TQM Roofing Inc., we recommend calling us to inspect your commercial roofing and plan for replacement if you notice any of these signs:

  1. Musty odors in certain areas of your building—Walk through your building and take a deep breath. What do you smell? If your building smells musty and moldy in certain areas, this could be a sign that there is water damage in your building, which is a sign that commercial roofing replacement may be needed.
  2. Sagging spots in your roof—Does your roof leak in certain spots? It’s normal for your roof to get wet when it rains, but it shouldn’t stay wet. If your roof starts to sag in certain places, this could be a sign your commercial roofing system is failing.
  3. Indications of water damage—If you have to put buckets out every time it rains to catch dripping water, your commercial roofing could have reached the end of its lifespan. Even if you notice a small leak, call in our team right away to take a look at what’s going on.
